Living With Tinnitus And How To Beat It (Low Key Humming Can Cure You))
My Name is James McKenna I am 42 years old and I have suffered with Tinnitus for over 24 months, I can only sympathise with people who have had this condition for numerous years, it is life changing to say the least. I suffered with Tinnitus for over 2 years, Like many of you who suffer with this condition I was told learn to live with it, this I couldnot accept so I have created this website to try and help fellow sufferers to gain much more peace in their lives through self healing or nurturing your ears and brain back to health, If theres one thing I cannot stand is someone wanting money before they give you the cure or remedy to your ailments, these people who claim to hold the cure for Tinnitus, if they really understood how bad this condition is , they would not scam and pray on such people. I donot claim to have a cure but rather a theory which I feel leads to a better understanding of what Tinnitus is and this information is free for you to read, if you would like to donate money be it a £1 to a 1pence, that would be great, it just helps me on with my quest to keep this website going via updating it.
Anyway
I have created many different soothing sounds to help mask the most
common tinnitus, that being in the high frequency range, or what i like
to call the either the kettle or the dog whistle and hopefully help rid
you of this debilitating condition. If you have a much more complex
tinnitus you can email me and I'll see if I can come up with something
for you personally. Tinnitus sufferers each experience different sounds
with different pitches, After many sleepless nights I decided to take
matters into my own hands, I have finally come to the conclusion that
Tinnitus can be controlled, Lets think of this in another way, if you
burnt your hand in a fire, the first thing you would want to do would
be to cool it down, the last thing you would want would be anything to
come near your hand that came even slightly close to the heat (temperature) you
injured yourself with! well this in my mind applies to Tinnitus, we are
told by leading doctors that Tinnitus is the result of the brain trying
to decipher the sound, which it cannot due to damage it has sustained
through the tiny hair folicles in the inner ear, this results in the
phantom sounds we here otherwise known as Tinnitus. The thing being
here is even if the ear and the brain could heal itself it never gets a
chance due to the different sounds we hear everyday which at different
times is probably the same frequency you sustained the damage on, it is
a constant irritant to the ear as it is to the brain, whatever
frequency you have lost your hearing on which has resulted in tinnitus,
you need to completely elliminate all sound on this frequency, , the only
sound which can help is at the other end of the scale just like the
water is the opposite scale to heat or (fire). I believe by
introducing the same tone as the Tinntus only on a completely lower
key, can the ear actually begin to heal itself, it can still experience
these same sound frequencies but in a much soothing way, which can only
encourage the healing process. I have been using my own mask for a
couple of months and I am glad to say my Tinnitus has massively
reduced, some days even up to a week I donot even hear it. Now I am no
doctor but one of my hobbies is a musician and lucky enough I have in
my possesion all the audio editing software I need to help combat these
symptoms, my own theory to help the healing process is not to have the same tone as your Tinnitus
been played into your ears like some Ent doctors would have you
believe, I think this would only encourage the Tinnitus, your brain
need to adjust to it which could take months and months, what it
doesnot need is the same noise your trying to escape being played in
your head day in day out, this to me would damage the ear follicles and lead to worse Tinnitus, its like putting your hand back into the fire and burning
it again, my theory is to but to find the exact opposite in tone or
(Tinnitus) on a lower key, this can be compared to a singer who sings
high while another singer would sing low and they create a harmonious
effect. Noone really knows what causes Tinnitus but I suspect the brain
is in shock and needs nurturing out of shock, and this is my goal a
sort of quest to find some key answers , I
only hope this information helps, I hope I am right in my assessment of
this condition, as I say I am no doctor but I found nothing but despair
having visited them all, Tinnitus ruins lives we need to fight back, and
get a much greater understanding of what is really going on with this
condition, I maybe completely wrong, but its the best explanation in my
own mind I can come up with, please if you would like to email me feel
free to do so. I have created a couple of masks below! In each of them I have incorporated a two things,1. Music or oceans waters 2. what I feel is the real true cure for Tinnitus a LOW KEY HUM, It Is this Low Key Humming Which I believe can bring Your Ears Back To LIfe and cure you of your Tinnitus. Whether you use any of these masks below or whether you download one from the internet, thats fine, but I would suggest a low key hum as one of your masks and listen to it religiously for a week, and see the difference.

There are many different causes for Tinnitus and having painstakingly researched them all, I will give a complete list at the bottom of this webpage which I hope you find useful. One thing I am absolutely convinced upon about Tinnitus is that if you have suffered some sort of back injury just before your Tinnitus began, acheing hips, lower back pain or something similar, theres a very good chance your one of these things is can be the cause of your Tinnitus, I would suggest looking at Youtube for more advice on strengthening your back muscles, donot do anything until you consult your doctor first as to your condition. I myself am convinced Tinnitus is more rather to do with the brain rather than the ears, it is my own opinion and not to be taken literally, but I am now thoroughly convinced the nerves that run through and around the spine are a major link, nerve damage in and around this area due to rigourous exercise, pregnancy, are just some of the causes which I believe is in the main the real cause of Tinnitus which has never diminished ove a time. The masking sounds I have created below are a great help in helping your brain recover from whatever damage that maybe, but the soul root is to find the cause for your Tinnitus.
Choose any of these masks, all of which use a low key humming effect, the low background humming which I am convinced helps the most with Tinnitus, if your Tinnitus most resembles a high pitch sound like a dog whistle, then these should be ideal for you. Please make complete sure whatever you play them on, be it your Mp3, that you have them as low as you can, the very lowest the better, as the ear and the brain need exercise to help with your Tinnitus, and having it to loud will only encourage Tinnitus.
If you are saving any of these sound files and copying them to your mp3, you can download them to your desktop,
just rename the file each time you copy it to your mp3, that way the music will play continuously.

Tinnitus Remedy:
How to Stop Ringing in the Ears
by: Dr. Jan Strydom
One should always understand that we are all different so that it is impossible to suggest a single form of treatment that will work in every case and for every person. However, there is a very simple technique that has often shown to be effective in many cases of tinnitus (ringing in the ears.) Any person who is afflicted by this very unpleasant condition would do well to at least give this simple technique a try.
To perform this technique, put the palms of your hands over your ears. The fingers are on the back of the head. The middle fingers point towards each other and are on the base of the skull just above the point where the skull ends. Now lift the index fingers and place them on top of the middle fingers and then snap the index fingers off the middle fingers so that they beat the skull like a drum. In fact, with your hands covering your ears, the sound may be quite loud and may indeed sound like the beating of a drum. Click here to download a video clip demonstrating this procedure. (The video clip can be played using either Windows Media Player or Quick Time.)
Repeat the drumming about 40 to 50 times. Depending on the severity of the condition, one could repeat the technique several times a day.
Comment from Barbara Clay, Las Vegas, NV:
Thank you soooooo much. I have had ringing in my ears, tinnitus for
about a month now and nothing worked for me until now. I did the
technique shown on this website and the ringing stop instantly. Dr. Jan
Strydom, you are a life saver. The ringing was almost driving me crazy.
Now I have my sanity back. Thanks again Dr.
Comment from Chirstine in Groton, USA:

a natural remedy. Came upon your ear drumming technique. It worked
instantly & I didn't even know if I was doing it properly. Thank
you!
New Tinnitus Treatment: Potential To Greatly Diminish Ringing In The Ears
TMS involves the placement of a coil on the scalp that creates a magnetic field over the brain’s surface. The magnetic field penetrates up to two or three centimeters from the surface of the coil. An electric current is induced by the magnetic field that either activates or inhibits neural activity.
The goal of the study is to inhibit excessive neural activity believed to cause tinnitus. “We use a PET scan of the patient’s brain to look for excessive neural activity with increased blood flow in the temporal lobe. Then we target that area with low-frequency TMS to inhibit the neural activity and decrease the tinnitus,” Mennemeier said.
While TMS has previously shown short-term effectiveness in European studies, the UAMS team was the first to introduce it as maintenance therapy in which patients receive an initial course of treatment and follow-ups as symptoms persist.
The case study of one UAMS patient demonstrated for the first time the feasibility of managing chronic tinnitus through maintenance TMS. “The patient in our case study reported his tinnitus to be unobtrusive in his daily life when he was assessed four months after his final round of maintenance therapy,” Mennemeier said. No side effects were reported by the patient or detected in formal assessments after three rounds of maintenance therapy.
Simple dietary and lifestyle changes can improve your symptoms
Tinnitus
sufferers should avoid certain foods, which can aggravate the condition
- these include, sugar, salt, saturated fats, dairy products and
processed foods. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, raw foods
and good quality proteins instead.
As low blood sugar has been
associated with tinnitus, you should prevent blood sugar swings by
cutting out sweet foods, refined flour products and stimulants, such as
coffee, tea and alcohol. If you have a sedentary lifestyle, start a
programme of exercise (gently at first), since this can help improve
the flow of blood to your ears.
Natural alternatives can relieve the torture of tinnitus
Nutritional
and herbal supplements can provide complete relief if your tinnitus is
a recent problem, or reduce long-standing symptoms. Niacin, a form of
vitamin B3, can be extremely beneficial, as it opens up your blood
vessels and allows more oxygen and nutrients to reach your inner ear.
Take 100-200mg a day, taken as part of a balanced B-complex supplement.
Injections of vitamin B12 (1mg intramuscularly, twice a week) have also
been shown to help (Am. J Otolaryngol. 14:94-99,1993) - consult your
doctor for more information.
Supplementing with magnesium (500-1,000mg a day) has been shown to reverse noise-induced hearing loss (Am. J. Otolaryngol 15: 26-32, 1994). The cochlea of the ear (spiral organ) has the body's highest concentration of zinc. A Japanese study showed that zinc supplements relieve symptoms of tinnitus in people with a zinc deficiency (Oto-rhino-laryngol. Soc. Japan 100(9): 915-9, 1997). Take 15-30mg a day.
The extract of the maidenhair tree, Ginkgo biloba, is known to dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow. Studies indicate that taking 120-240mg a day of standardised extract for 4-6 weeks can deliver significant improvements (Clin. Otolaryngol. 24: 164-7,1999; Advances in Therapy 15(1): 54-65, 1998). The herb, black cohosh, can also help by improving blood flow to your brain. The suggested dose is 20-40mg a day.Because tinnitus has so many possible causes, you may need to try a few of these natural remedies before you find a treatment that works for you. The main thing is not to give up hope - and don't listen to doctors who tell you it's something you've just got to live with!
Tinnitus And Your Eyes
Recent functional brain imaging studies in humans suggest that the neural generator(s) for tinnitus may reside in the central nervous system and involve both auditory as well as nonauditory centers. The contribution of nonauditory centers in the pathogenesis and regulation of tinnitus is reinforced by studies showing that many patients have somatic tinnitus whereby movements and manipulations of the eyes, head, neck, jaw, and shoulder can modulate the loudness and pitch of their tinnitus. In most cases, the maneuvers lead to increases in tinnitus loudness or pitch rather than decreases. Our results indicate that most tinnitus patients experience only a modest change in loudness or pitch when performing these maneuvers. However, some patients report that these maneuvers significantly modulate the loudness or pitch, sometimes by a factor of 2 to 3. The high prevalence of somatic tinnitus serves to illustrate the complex multimodal interactions that exist between the auditory pathway and other sensory-motor systems innervating the head, neck, shoulders, and eyes.
